Install in seconds

From Chrome Web Store to your first extraction in under a minute.

Open Chrome Web Store

Search for Extraktr or follow the direct link.

Click “Add to Chrome”

One click installs the extension — no setup needed.

Start extracting

Navigate to Slack, Gmail, or Discord and click Extract.

Pin Extraktr to your toolbar

One click keeps the icon visible so you can extract a thread without hunting through the puzzle menu.

  1. 1Click the puzzle icon in the Chrome toolbar (top-right of the browser window).
  2. 2Find Extraktr in the list and click the small pin icon next to it.
  3. 3The Extraktr icon now lives in the toolbar. Click it on a Slack, Gmail, or Discord thread to extract.

Scoped to three hosts

Content scripts only load on app.slack.com, mail.google.com, and discord.com. Nowhere else.

Explicit extract only

Nothing leaves the page until you click Extract. No background reads, no passive capture, no clipboard sniffing.

Network only to Extraktr

Outbound requests are scoped to extraktr.com and api.extraktr.com. No third-party trackers.

How it works

Three steps from conversation to structured work.

Highlight thread

Open any supported conversation in your browser.

Click Extract

The extension captures content and sends it to the engine.

Structured output

Tasks, decisions, risks, and a summary appear next.

See it in action

Watch Extraktr turn a real conversation into structured, actionable output.

We need to ship the auth migration by Thursday. Can backend confirm the timeline?

R

Ravi K.

Thursday works if QA starts Wednesday. Risk: the staging env is still flaky.

I’ll own the QA pass. Let’s flag staging as a blocker and revisit tomorrow.

After extraction

Where the extension picks up

On a Slack, Gmail, or Discord thread, the in-page sidekick handles capture, review, and Copy Tasks without leaving the conversation.

Live today

In-page sidekick + popup

What ships in the current extension build.

  • Highlight selection bar — select text in a thread, capture with one click.
  • Per-message multi-select — toggle which messages to include before extracting.
  • Clipboard control — Copy results, Copy tasks, More actions stay one click away.
  • Gmail wedge — sticky launcher inside the Gmail compose surface.
  • Slack thread checkpoint — mark a point in a thread to capture from there forward.
  • Toolbar popup — Copy Tasks first, then Copy results and More actions.

Manage these in Settings → In-page sidekick → Show sidekick on supported sites. Full-thread extract from the popup keeps working either way.

Being scoped — not shipped

Docked review workspace

A side panel for sustained scan and edit on a single thread.

  • A persistent panel that stays open alongside Slack, Gmail, or Discord while you review.
  • The same result components as the popup — Copy Tasks first, then Copy results, then More actions.
  • Per-tab state so each thread keeps its own review without the others getting clobbered.

We are scoping this surface. It is not enabled in the current build, not in the store ZIP, and the manifest does not request the side-panel permission. The popup and in-page sidekick remain the operational workspace.

Website → extension continuity

1 · Website

Where you start and configure

Sign in, see history, configure your account, run sandbox extractions on /demo.

Lives at /extract/history, /demo, /extract/settings.

2 · Extension

Where you operate

Capture, review, and Copy Tasks on a real Slack, Gmail, or Discord thread — popup plus in-page sidekick.

Lives in the toolbar popup and on supported hosts.

3 · Coming back

Where you return

Recent extractions, re-copy, and search live on the website. The product feels stateful, not transactional.

Lives at /extract/history (Activity).

Extension features

One-click extraction

Highlight a conversation thread in Slack, Gmail, or Discord and click Extract. The extension sends content to the Extraktr engine and returns structured results in a popup.

Same engine, same output

The extension uses the exact same backend as the web app. Tasks, decisions, risks, and summaries are identical whether you use the extension or extraktr.com/extract.

No data leaves until you click

The extension only activates when you explicitly trigger extraction. It does not read, scan, or transmit page content in the background.

Works where you already are

Extract from Slack threads, Gmail chains, and Discord channels without switching tabs or copying text manually.

Supported platforms

Content scripts are limited to these origins. The extension does not read other websites.

Extraktr never reads your data — you choose what is processed.

Conversation text is sent to Extraktr only when you open the extension and choose Extract on a supported page. Processing uses the same backend as extraktr.com/demo. When signed in, the extension uses your session cookies to call the API as you.
